There were several requests for a copy of the NJC guidance and Local Conventions at todays conciliation, with many members telling us that they have not been able to view a copy in their schools. The Schools' Job Evaluation process is currently underway and the Role Profiles below have now been evaluated by a panel of trained JE representatives (the Schools Working Party) using the Blackpool NJC Scheme.These roles are currently being tested in pilot schools to allow them to be adapted to local requirements. Once the pilot is complete, every member of school support staff will receive a letter containing the new Role Profile for their post along with the grade, salary and information on the Appeals process. It will be at this stage that any discrepancies between the role profiles and your actual job duties can be assessed with UNISON who will assist you through the conciliation and appeal processes as necessary.
